Our Beginning

My grandparents moved to the tri-cities in 1954 settling at the exact location where I farm and live today. When they first moved here life was much different than it is today, irrigating the crops was difficult and they had to deal with a constant dust bowl caused by the frequent winds in the Columbia Basin. They originally lived in a chicken coop bought from a neighbor farmer before moving into a small shack not unlike the one in the picture to the right. My grandparents had up to 6 kids living in this shack until they finally built a home in the mid 60’s and I am currently raising my family in that same home that they built.
